Organic & More
Organic and More started out as a small family business in the year 2005. Growing significantly over the years, they are now recognised by the government of India as an ethically responsible and sustainable apparel manufacturing company. Over the years the sustainable movement in India has grown, with Organic and More being a core part of that movement. Even now, the company never stray from their roots and core values of ethical and environmentally positive manufacturing and trading.
Organic and More are also a socially responsible company, working closely with many members of society who are less fortunate. They work closely with an NGO called Karm Marg, who provide shelter for approximately 60 orphaned children of all ages. Thanks to Karm Marg and the help of Organic and More, these children can grow up in a safe environment and are taught essential life skills. In addition, Organic and More ensure that all their used tube lights and machine oil is responsibly disposed of to limit harmful waste from their manufacturing processes.
Since 2005, Organic and More have manufactured excellent quality cotton derived from a certified organic cotton farm that is devoid of any pesticides, chemical insecticides, harmful dyes or printing agents. They are also certified under the Global Organic Textile Standards (GOTS), certified STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® and have also garnered appreciation and approval by the Supplier Ethical Data Exchange (SEDEX).
For Nomads, Organic and More make our GOTS certified organic cotton jersey and cotton voile, with all of their printing done in house. We have developed a strong and positive working relationship with Organic and More and hope to continue this for a long time.

Ravi – JK Gabawalas
Ravi spends his time managing and working closely with small producers in India, who largely focus on traditional artisan handloom fabrics and organic cotton jersey. He has his own studio in which he produces patterns, receives and cuts the production fabric before he distributes the fabric out to the relevant manufacturers he works with. These people then continue on to sew and tailor the garments, returning them back to Ravi for final production checks and packaging.
Ravi chooses to work in this way to support small businesses and independent handloom weavers, printing units and tailoring units. This ensures that independent workers receive better opportunities to earn money and expand, in turn improving the livelihoods of the smaller communities within India. For Nomads, Ravi makes many of our printed organic cotton jersey, printed terry jersey, handloom fabrics, ikats and printed cotton voile garments. We have worked closely with Ravi for many years, nurturing our relationship and continuing to support small manufacturers in India.
Linear
Linear is a well organised and friendly GOTS certified knitwear company: their main office is based in Mumbai, India, with their knitwear factory located nearby in Silvassa. Linear have been in business for the last 25 years, witnessing the detrimental effects of the fast-fashion industry. This prompted them to switch to green initiatives, focusing on sustainability and positive trading ethics.
For Linear, sustainability is not just a concept, it is a way of life. This is clearly reflected in the products they make and the processes they use. They are constantly looking for new methods to reduce their carbon footprint, some of their current approaches include recycling their water and using non-toxic, eco-friendly washing chemicals. In addition to this, they have recently begun to source and encourage the use of recycled fibres and accessories, like their recycled cotton and bamboo yarn. For the last 4 years they have been both GOTS and SEDEX certified and hope to maintain this for a long time.
